Building unity across South Florida through joint worship since 1969.

It all began in 1969, when four historically Black congregations in Miami — Christ Episcopal Church, The Historic Saint Agnes Episcopal Church, The Church of the Incarnation, and The Church of the Transfiguration—came together with a shared vision. Each Sunday evening during Lent, one of these churches would open its doors to host a service, uniting their choirs, their acolytes, and their hearts in worship. In the mid-1980s, the Church of the Ascension, the Church of the Holy Family, and Trinity Cathedral joined the effort, adding their voices to this growing chorus of unity. And so, the tradition continued to grow, building bridges across time and space, uniting people in ways that transcended the walls of the church. Today, that same tradition lives on, as the congregations gather each year, bound by faith, community, and a shared purpose.

But these services are about more than just worship. The offerings taken during these sacred gatherings have always been poured into something greater—into mission work that reaches far beyond the confines of the church. Over the years, those gifts have gone to help build shelters for families, provide wells for clean water, and offer mosquito nets to protect lives in Africa. They’ve supported Food for the Poor, St. Augustine’s College, and hurricane relief efforts, and they’ve touched the lives of children in Haiti through the South Florida Haiti Project. Each gift, each donation, is more than just money—it is a tangible expression of compassion, a lifeline for those in need.

The impact is far-reaching, and the story is far from over. Every year, as the people of these congregations come together, they are reminded that their work is part of something much bigger. It is a legacy of love and service that continues to ripple out into the world, changing lives, spreading hope, and shining a light into the darkest corners of the earth.
