The Reverend Angelo S. Wildgoose, Rector

Born in Freeport, Grand Bahama, The Rev. Fr. Angelo S. Wildgoose is the second of five children. He received his early education at Mary Star Primary School and Catholic High School, and his spiritual foundation was established at Christ the King Anglican Church, where he was baptized, confirmed, attended Sunday School, participated in the Youth Group, and served as an Acolyte.

Answering the call to the priesthood, Fr. Wildgoose entered Codrington College Theological Seminary in Barbados at age 19. He also studied at the University of the West Indies, earning a Diploma in Pastoral Studies and a BA in Theology in 1999. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Ministry from Colorado Theological Seminary.

Ordained as a Deacon on June 20, 1999, and as a Priest on September 21, 2000, Fr. Wildgoose began his ministry at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, focusing on youth development. He later became Rector of St. Patrick’s Parish on Eleuthera, where he also taught Religious Knowledge at Central Eleuthera High School. Additionally, he served as Assistant Priest at St. Matthew’s in Nassau. During his time in the Bahamas, he earned a Diploma in Secondary Education in Religious Studies from the College of the Bahamas, becoming a trained and certified teacher.

In 2004, Fr. Wildgoose and his family relocated, serving in various dioceses: Associate Priest in the Anglican Parish of Pembroke (Bermuda), Vicar of St. Anselm’s Episcopal Church (Tennessee), and Assistant Rector of The African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas (Pennsylvania). He now serves as the fourteenth Rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Ms. Adialyn Milien

Ms. Adialyn Milien is a passionate Episcopalian with roots in the Dominican Republic and Haiti. She recently served as Director of Communications for the President of the House of Deputies (2022–2024) and currently resides in Miami, Florida. She holds a degree in Mass Media Communications from St. Thomas University and an MBA from the University of Miami.

Deeply involved in the Diocese of Southeast Florida, Adialyn co-coordinates the Young Adult Ministry, serves as a youth leader, and is an active member of the Episcopal Church Women (ECW) and the Social Justice Committee. She also plays a key role in the Episcopal Church’s Latino/Hispanic ministries as a member of the Council of Advice.

Adialyn is the founder of Social Evangelism: Reaching Souls for God through Social Media, a project that helps churches use digital platforms to connect with their communities. She actively supports her congregations, St. Paul Et-Les-Martyr-D’Haiti (Haitian) and Iglesia Santísima Trinidad (Latino/Hispanic), in strengthening their online presence. Her unwavering faith and commitment to service are reflected in all she does.

The Reverend Sheldon Hamblin, Rector

The Rev. Sheldon N.N. Hamblin is a Barbadian-born Episcopal priest and community leader dedicated to fostering healing and reconciliation. Since 2013, he has served as the rector of St. Paul’s Church in the Village of Flatbush, an Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Long Island and a member of the Worldwide Anglican Communion.

Fr. Hamblin brings a deeply spiritual and justice-centered perspective to global and local issues, advocating for peace and understanding amid conflict. He views struggles such as the Israeli-Hamas war as not only geopolitical but also as spiritual crises, underscoring the universal human longing for dignity and peace. Inspired by the healing messages found in Negro spirituals, particularly There Is a Balm in Gilead, he calls for faith leaders to promote dialogue, empathy, and reconciliation.

Beyond his parish, Fr. Hamblin is actively engaged in civic and diocesan leadership. He serves as a trustee of the Estate of the Diocese of Long Island and holds key roles in organizations such as the Church Avenue BID, the 67th Precinct Clergy Council, and the Prospect Park Community Committee. He is a board member of the Episcopal Urban Caucus and the Union of Black Episcopalians and a member of the Black Clergy Caucus in the Diocese of Long Island. His past service includes work with the Diocesan Council, Episcopal Charities, and Diocesan Youth Ministries.

Fr. Hamblin earned his Master of Divinity from Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in 2003. Before entering the priesthood, he worked at People Magazine and held an internship with The New York Times. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts Production Management from New City Technical College.

A devoted husband and father, Fr. Hamblin is married to Lisa, and they have a daughter, Christina. His ministry and advocacy continue to inspire efforts toward justice, unity, and faith-driven social engagement.

The Reverend Vincent Brown, Pastor

In April 2012, The Reverend Vincent Brown was called as the third Pastor of St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, Miami, Florida, where he provides the vision and leadership needed to positively impact the community for future generations to come. 

After graduating from Queens College in the Bahamas and receiving the call to the ministry, he furthered his education at the Reform Seminary in Boca Raton, Florida  Rev. Brown has served as Pastor for more than 25 years at several churches in the South Florida area and in Georgia. He has preached to many souls, throughout the Bahamas, Florida, Georgia, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Jamaica.

From 2013 to 2015, Rev. Brown served as Vice Moderator of the South Florida Baptist Association under the General Baptist State Convention of Florida.  In 2018, Rev. Brown was elected as the President of The Baptist Ministers’ Council of Greater Miami & Vicinity, where he brings a fresh focus to help Pastors in the region reach the next generation for Christ.  One of his major endeavors was to lead the Pastoral Prayer Summits in 2019-2021 where Ministers from around the world (US, Europe, Bahamas, and other Nations) met online to have corporate prayer.

As the Covid-19 pandemic arose, Rev. Brown mobilized with food distributions, Covid-19 testing, launched the Grief Care, Health and Wellness and Caregivers' Ministries with community partners and took the Church's Worship Services online for members and visitors to stay connected. His community focus continues with several initiatives that bring awareness and solutions to long-standing issues for residents.

Rev. Brown willingly invests his time, talents, and abilities to support and uplift the congregation. He is very passionate and concerned about how we apply God's Word in our daily walk of life. He is a diligent student of the Word of God and a man of prayer. He is fully committed to the call on his life and to the ministry placed before him.

Rev. Vincent Brown is a proud native of the Bahamas and married to Sister Evelyn Brown. He is the father of four children (Kendika deceased) and a devoted grandfather.

The Reverend Dr. Gaston E. Smith, Senior Pastor/Teacher

The Reverend Dr. Gaston E.  Smith is the Senior Pastor / Teacher of the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Miami, Florida, where they are “Moving Mightily to Fulfill the Master’s Mission.”   

Pastor Smith is a native of Houston, Texas. The youngest of six children, he graduated from M.B. Smiley Senior High School. He furthered his education as a Political Science major at the University of Houston, and a student of Evangelism & Pastoral Studies at Houston Bible Institute & Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. An honorary Doctor of Divinity degree was bestowed upon Reverend Smith in 2008 by Smith Chapel Bible University.  

He accepted Christ and was baptized at the age of six by the Reverend James Kennedy, at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Houston where he served in many lay positions of leadership. In 1990, Rev. Smith accepted his calling to the Gospel Ministry. Reverend Smith was then licensed and later ordained by his Pastor and Father in the Ministry, the Reverend Harvey Clemons, Jr.  

Reverend Smith has over 20 years’ experience as an Executive Professional in the hospitality (hotel) industry. He relocated to Miami, Florida when he was appointed Director of Operations on the Executive Committee of the Royal Palm Resort, which was at the time, the first African American owned Resort of its kind on South Miami Beach. In September 2002 Reverend Smith was unanimously called to Pastor the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church of Miami, Florida. He has served as President and is now Senior Advisor for The Baptist Minister’s Council of Greater Miami & Vicinity. He is also the Founder and President of the Florida Pastoral Delegation, Inc., He currently serves as Vice President of the African American Council of Christian Clergy.  

He has served as Chairman of the Board for The Frazier Berean Community Development Corporation of Dallas and Vice President of Inner-City Solutions, Inc. of Dallas, the City of Miami Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, Chairperson of Chaplains for the City of Miami Police Department and currently serves as Chaplain for the City of North Miami Police Department.  He is also on the Executive Advisory Board of The Historic Hampton House Trust of Miami. His affiliations also include the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and the Full Gospel Fellowship International. His latest appointment is the Executive Board of Riverside House Miami. 

Pastor Smith’s motto for life is taken from the song “My Tribute,” To God Be the Glory, For the Things He Has Done!           

He is the father of three beautiful children, Antoinette, Jasmine, and Gaston Everett II.
